Hi, Cindy! I've started a new blog about the Kindle, with free book recommendations, funny stories, pictures, and lots of interesting observations....

I'm hoping people will be interested in linking to some of the new blog posts for this week. I wrote about free ebooks for the 4th of July -- and how my girlfriend discovered a free ebook version for the forgotten mystery classic, "The Ghost of Dr. Fu-Manchu!" (The Charlie Chan detective series created as a direct response to Chinese super-villains like the evil Dr. Fu-Manchu...)
The villain was created by "Sax Rohmer," who in real life belonged to a strange 19th-century mystical secret society that combined Masonic rituals and ancient Egyptian Rosacrucion mysticism. His wild stories about secret conspiracies were published in installments from 1912-1913, but ironically, "after a lifetime of noxious stories about the mysterious dangers of the Orient, Sax Rohmer died…of the Asian flu!" :)
