Something New - Daily Refresh?

June 11, 2010 Cindy O'Neal

Something New has been added... I'm not sure when, but it sure looks as though it has potential as a great organizing tool.

http://kindle.amazon.com

Sign in with your Amazon account information and in the top area click where it says Your Books. Every book you have purchased (including the free ones) will be listed. You can see the total (from the first book you purchased) at the top left of this list.

Browse through your books and mark the ones you have read, are reading, have stopped reading, or want to drop from the list. There is also a place to rate your books on the far right of each line.

Here is a little of what Amazon says about Your Books:

We use your activities on Amazon.com to get you started quickly in using AmazonKindle. The list in Your Books includes books from your purchase history, books that you rated, books you told us "I own it", and books from your wishlist.
We make a guess at whether you've read these books or not as follows: we give books from your Wish List a status of Hope to read, we give books that you rated a status of Read, and we give books that you've annotated a status of Reading or Read. You can correct the reading status of any of your books.
To add books to this list, search for them (e.g., by title or author) and set their reading status on the search results page.

Very nice! A great way to get a handle of some books you may have forgotten you purchased and put them back on your reading list. I found a few on my list. I also found a few I would love to read again. Oh... I think this has something to do with working with the new update for our Kindles too (whenever that may be)
