Multiple Kindles

June 12, 2010 Cindy O'Neal

If you have...
  • A Kindle and a PC - you have Multiple Kindles
  • A Kindle and a Mac - you have Multiple Kindles
  • A Kindle and an iPhone or iTouch - you have Multiple Kindles
  • A Kindle and a Blackberry - you have Multiple Kindles
  • A Kindle and an iPad - you have Multiple Kindles
They can all share the same Amazon account, and read the same books. If you are reading a book on one, it will automatically sync with the same book on another device, if you want it to. If you have more than one person reading the same book, choose not to sync.

So... if you have Multiple members in your household and only one Kindle, think about how many other Kindles you may have. The free software for these extra devices is only a few clicks away on Amazon.

Once you have the software installed on your multiple devices, you will need to sign on with your Amazon account information (user id/email address and password). This will only need to be done once to register the device. Then it will have access to the archives (all your books) on the account and you will be able to either send books to the device from your account area on Amazon.com, or go through the archives from the device itself and pick which books you want sent. Choose a book and it will be sent immediately.
