3G or Wifi?

If you are thinking about ordering one of the new Kindles, you may be wondering which will be better for you... 3G or Wifi.

3G is going to give you the Whispernet service free on your device, and will work just about everywhere. If you have a nice fast Internet connection at home, you may also already have wireless hooked up. If not, you might want to check into getting it for yourself. It is great for a lot of things, laptops, iPads, iPhones, and now the new Kindle. If you have wireless set up in your house, your Kindle can hop onto your home connection and you will be able to shop the Amazon book store, download books and surf the Internet much faster than 3G.

If you purchase the new Kindle Touch 3G, you will be getting it all, 3G, Wifi, touch and audio. 3G is nice if you spend a lot of time away from home, but compared to your home high speed Internet, you will find it leaves a lot to be desired. Book downloads will still be very fast, book files are relatively small, but going from page to page on the Internet is where you will notice a lag.

If you end up with the Wifi Kindle Touch, you will still have the same touch screen and built in audio... everything except the 3G capabilities.

Whatever you decide.... I know you are going to LOVE it!
