Kindle Skills - Personal Files

Personal documents and eBooks you acquire from other places (like manybooks.net) and transfer to your Kindle are not backed up on the Amazon.com servers. You should keep a copy of those files in a special folder on your computer or on a recordable CD if they mean enough to you that you wouldn't want to lose them if the unthinkable ever happened to your Kindle.

Your Kindle can be replaced. Personal files or documents you have created can not. They should always be backed up if you care anything about them.

Hey... it could happen.
