Kindle Skills - Password Protection

Password protection is available on Kindle 2, DX and 3.
To turn on Password Protection:

  • From the Home screen, press the Menu button.
  • Navigate down until the words turn on are underlined (selected) to the right of the words Device Password.
  • You will see a dialog area appear. This is where you type in your password to access the Kindle. If you forget your password later on, you can reset your Kindle, which will also remove all content to prevent other people from accessing it. In other words, the kind folks at customer service are not going to be able to help you.
  • There is a place to enter a password hint, to help you remember it.
You can not password protect Internet Access only on your Kindle... it is all or nothing.
