Kindle Skills - Google for Clipart

When you're not reading a hot/steamy on your Kindle, most of you do have other things you need to do with your computer... like finding clipart or an image to use for one reason or another.

With Google, there is no reason to spend a lot of money or time on clipart CDs or digging around on your computer for just the right image for that email, document or presentation. If your Internet connection is cranked up, do a quick Google search for the image you need. Describe it in as few words as possible, then press the enter key on your keyboard. Once the initial search appears, check the list in the far left column on the web page and click the word images. That will narrow down the search to only images and the result pages you see will have wonderful little thumbnails to view. Click one to see the larger image, or the web page it came from.

To save an image, right click on it and choose Save, or Copy (if you would just like to paste it where you need it). If it looks like an image that may be personal or otherwise protected with a copyright, do contact the owner of the web site and ask nicely for permission. Most of the time it will be just fine.

I just did a little search using only the word dogs as my search term. Don't you just love it!

What does this have to do with your Kindle? Well... think of all the time you won't have to spend looking for graphics when you have the entire Internet at your fingertips. You can spend that time reading!

Ask Mrs. Wizard: Please send me a personal email (mrswizard@mrswizard.com) if you have any questions. I answer all my emails and am more than happy to help any time I can. Your questions mean a lot to me, and may even inspire an article that will help others and make this a more valuable resource to anyone who reads it.
